Here's what others have to say:

"Having just finished my 3rd quilt class—Curve College— with Lo & Behold Stitchery, I can honestly say that I feel prepared to tackle ANY future quilt project."
Brittany’s videos and guidance provide all the support one needs to be successful with a variety of scary curves—Drunkard's Path did NOT end up looking like they failed a field sobriety test; orange peels just peeled off easily; and half circles were as advertised—not wonky ovals or ellipses! Each course module provides clear, concise information utilizing multiple methodologies for the learner to find the method that works best for their level of comfort or level of supplies on hand. The videos are amazingly clear and focus closely on the area being demonstrated leaving no guesswork for the learner. While not technically bonus modules, the information on color theory and adding curves while quilting the final product was pure lagniappe! If you are wanting to tackle curves, but have been hesitant, then Curve College is definitely for you!!
JAN S.

"My friends and I all live in different places; this class was a really fun way for us to connect and share an experience."
It was a really great course. We watched all of the lessons, did our homework, shared our process and pictures in our group chat and reached out when we were stuck. Brittany not only answered our questions but created a little support video to go along with the email and updated the next module with some additional information. It now felt like Michelle, Chrissie, BRITTANY and I were in the same physical classroom. The best part, and the sign of a really great class, is that all three of our quilts are different and the color module really helped us decide what we wanted to say and how to say it with color.

"I can't wait for the next class."
If you ever have a chance to take a class with Brittany - do it! Brittany’s classes are very thorough and she guides you through each step in the comfort of your home. Just finished Curve College and learned so much. I can’t wait to hear what the next class will be!
CATHY D.

"Bring on all the patterns with curves. I’m not afraid anymore!"
I’ve been quilting for 17 years, but spent all of them avoiding curves out of fear, until Curve College! It’s just what I needed to finally feel like an accomplished, well-rounded quilter (pun intended)! Brittany’s style of teaching easily fits all skill levels. She starts with the basics, eases up into the challenges, and covers multiple methods for each step along the way so you can try it all out and choose what works best for you. You’ll walk away with confidence in lots of new skills, and a gorgeous quilt packed with perfect curves.

Here is everything you will find inside the course:

Planning and Organization
Module 1 is all about creating a foundation for our time together inside the course. We will gather supplies and make sure we have everything we need to get started.
Module Highlights:
• Choosing Fabric: We will cover strategies for confidently choosing fabrics for this quilt. Get inspired by one of our many digital mock-ups or create your own colorway using our digital coloring pages via PreQuilt! We also have quilt kits to choose from which are available by clicking here.
• Supplies: We will talk about required and optional supplies you can choose to use for this quilt.
• Templates: The pattern comes with paper templates (something we will spend lots of time discussing) or you may choose to upgrade and purchase acrylic templates which are available by clicking here.
• Fabric Prep: We will cover how to starch and press your fabric so that it is ready to go for Module 2!

Cutting Fabric
Module 2 covers how to properly cut your fabrics. We will walk through how to use paper and/or acrylic templates in a few different ways and learn how to get the most accurate cuts possible.

• How to cut “on-grain”.
• How to cut from a large cut of yardage.

• Learn how to press curved seams open.
• We will cover how to trim this block to keep your “points” in your finished quilt!

Orange Peels
In Module 4, we will take our skills up a notch and learn how to construct the timeless and beautiful Orange Peel block. This module covers the multi-step process from cutting new pieces to sewing and trimming.

Half Circles
Module 5 pushes those new-found curve skills and tackles how to sew a half circle. These half circles form the super cute border around the Retro Blossoms quilt, so this step is the icing on the cake!
Module Highlights:
• How to fold fabric in half to cut two layers at once.
• Pinning and sewing tips to avoid puckers and pleats.

I can’t wait for you to join Curve College!

Quilting has brought me so much joy, and I know it will do the same for you! This hobby is not only exciting and fun, but creating something with your hands is deeply fulfilling. Not to mention, connecting with others in the community is the icing on the cake! Quilts are meant to last for generations....in fact, I still use and love the quilts my grandmother made for me and my family. It makes me excited to think I'm also creating heirlooms that will be passed down in my family for many years to come. I hope you'll join me in the course so we can create beautiful heirlooms together!
If we haven't already met, my name is Brittany and I am the owner, designer and educator behind Lo & Behold Stitchery. I have been designing quilt patterns since 2017 and teaching online quilting classes since 2021. Before quilting, I was a Neonatal ICU nurse for 7+ years, where I especially enjoyed the teaching aspect of the role. It was here that I discovered my love for meeting others where they are to transform their skillset and knowledge in a way that may not initially seem possible.
Now, as a online educator and designer, I am honored to have a similar role in the lives of others. We've had thousands of students go through our online quilting courses and the transformation is always so inspiring. Through bite-size lessons and thoughtful curriculum, I have put so much care and thought into our program and I would love to see you inside!
