"What a great class! I so enjoyed learning these new techniques!

The scalloped binding was definitely the most challenging, however I went very slow and prevailed! Now when I finish a quilt top and the instructions say 'quilt and bind as desired', I have a toolbox of options!"

HAVE QUESTIONS?

Here are answers to the most commonly asked questions:

My quilting and binding skills have gone up exponentially.

"I have thoroughly enjoyed these classes. I was a fairly confident quilter and binder but was keen to know what I didn't know and every class delivered a new skill and knowledge I didn't have before. I enjoyed taking time each week (and doing it at my own pace when needed because life gets in the way) to learn and slow down. My quilting and binding skills have gone up exponentially. Brittany is an amazing teacher, very patient, clear, and shows you multiple ways to do things so you can try and find what suits you. I highly recommend and am looking at doing her curves class next. Thank you"

I'm just so happy with how it all came together!

"I've been caught up in life these last few weeks, but I finally finished a Christmas quilt and I'm so excited about it! This quilt is full of firsts for me: I tried scrappy binding with straight seams, used leftover fat quarters from the top for the binding, and even used a thicker thread for the hand stitching on the back. My corners turned out beautifully thanks to this class! I'm just so happy with how it all came together! Time to work on my next quilt!"

"Now I can bring my quilting with me on vacation with only a few supplies!"

One thing I love about this course, and hand quilting (especially a baby-sized quilt) in particular, is how flexible and portable this all can be. I am on vacation and have finished my hand-tied quilt and am now hand quilting a second quilt and only needed to bring a few small supplies with me. This has been so relaxing and therapeutic! I am growing to love the character the hand quilting provides.

Quilting has brought me so much joy, and I know that it will do the same for you! This hobby is not only exciting and fun, but creating something with your hands is deeply fulfilling. Not to mention, connecting with others in the community is the icing on the cake! Quilts are meant to last for generations....in fact, I still use and love the quilts that my grandmother made for me and my family. It makes me excited to think that I am also creating heirlooms that will be passed down in my family for many years to come. I hope that you will join me in this course so we can create beautiful heirlooms together!

If we haven't already met, my name is Brittany and I am the owner, designer and educator behind Lo & Behold Stitchery. I have been designing quilt patterns since 2017 and teaching online quilting classes since 2021. Before quilting, I was a Neonatal ICU nurse for 7+ years, where I especially enjoyed the teaching aspect of the role. It was here that I discovered my love for meeting others where they are to transform their skillset and knowledge in a way that may not initially seem possible.

Now, as a online educator and designer, I am honored to have a similar role in the lives of others. We have had thousands of students go through our online quilting courses and the transformation is always so inspiring. Through bite-size lessons and thoughtful curriculum, I have put so much care and thought into our program and I would love to see you inside!
